PREGNANT!!!!

I just had to take another digital test! I think I'm done now, but it is really great to see PREGNANT in the little window! This test is supposed to be a little less sensitive than the others, too, so it's good to see a positive on it. :)

I've been kind of a test-o-holic since Saturday night.  Those damn faint lines were pushing me right over the egde.  The pic below is just a few (sad to say not all) of the tests over the last few days.  They're all positive, but most with really light results.

Brown has officially cut me off from buying any more home pregnancy tests!  It was the right call by him.  I just don't have the will power!

YES+!!!!!!

After 3 days of faint little pregnancy test lines, today I FINALLY got my digital positive!  I don't know why, but it almost feels more real after seeing it.

I'm pregnant!  By my estimate, my due date is December 9th, but I have my first doctor's appointment & ultrasound on April 22nd, so I'll have a definite date then (I'm thinking they could say it's anywhere from December 4th -10th).  I'll be around 7 weeks pregnant, so we should be able to see the heartbeat and get a look at the little nugget (one of Brown's current nicknames for it).  It's so exciting! I can't wait!

2 more pink lines

Well, I had another positive test this morning, but the test line was still SO light!  I know it's positive, but a darker line would be pretty reassuring right about now!

We bought some high sensitivity digital tests that give a either a YES+ or a NO- response, so I plan on taking one of those tomorrow morning to put my mind at ease.

Two pink lines

Today, I took a pregnancy test and it was POSITIVE!  There were 2 little pink lines staring back at me from the bathroom counter.  The second line was VERY faint, but it was there!  Many google searches have assured me that "a line is a line", no matter how faint.

Brown and I are in a bit of shock.  We're both really anxious for tomorrow to get here so I can take another test and, hopefully, see a much darker test line!

I think I'm pregnant??!?!?!?!?!!!!!

A new cousin!

My newest cousin, Grant, was born on Thursday, March 18th!  Just wanted to post a few pics to commemorate baby Grant's arrival.  Congrats Curtis and Catherine!  I hope to meet the little one in person soon. :)

So handsome!

Puerto Vallarta 2010!!!!

We just got back from a WONDERFUL vacation in Puerto Vallarta!  We went with our friends, Seiji and Suzanne, and had an absolute blast.  We kinda planned to take "one last vacation" before baby and I'm SO glad we did.  We lounged by the pool and beach, drank plenty of Tecate, went snorkeling, and went on the most amazing humpback whale watching tour.  I wish I was still there...

Baby Swag

While I am not yet pregnant, I have somehow managed to acquire a book on being pregnant, a giant box full of maternity clothes, various breastfeeding supplies, a bumbo baby seat, and an infant swing.  I promise I have not completely lost my mind,  I just happen to have an over zealous friend who has a 7 month old baby and needed to clear some things out of her house.  I am so grateful for all the stuff (THANK YOU, CYNTHIA!), but I think Brown is freaking out a little bit.  Cyn brought the pregnancy book when she came to visit in December (and left it open to the "Dad" chapter on Brown's side of the bed) and she sent me home with the rest when I was there to see John Mayer in concert with her in Houston this weekend (which was amazing, BTW).

So, yeah, no pressure or anything.  Just a house full a pregnancy/baby related items... :)

Here are a couple pics of me and Cyn outside the Toyota Center after the John Mayer show:

Maybe baby?

March 2010 marks the first month of our baby making adventure!  Brown and I have been together 6 years this month, been married almost 2, and have had nearly every person in our lives ask when we plan on having a little one!  Despite the evasive answers we may have given you, the answer is "right now".  I plan on publishing this blog once we see a positive pregnancy test, but, for now, I think it will just be kinda theraputic for me.  I'm already anxious and nervous and hope it doesn't take very long to make it happen. :)

In preparation for this venture, I got a seasonal flu and H1N1 vaccine.  I never get a flu shot, but I thought, considering the circumstances, that it would be a good idea.  Well, apparently I had an adverse reaction to the H1N1 shot and, 3 weeks later, my left arm is still too sore to lift above 90 degrees.  My doc says I'll just have to wait it out with ice packs and Vicodin.  I'm considering this my first maternal sacrifice.

I hope you, our loved ones, are reading this very soon.  I promise to post any and all relevant information regarding Baby J to this blog once he/she exists.  Until then, I will ramble to myself.  :)
